Barrack Obama was chosen as the President of the United States of America. Yesterday his inauguration took place. He is the first African-American to be president of America.
It is a very important time for the world. He made a long speech. In it he said some people are black and some people are white but we are all the same inside. He has respect for everyone. I think he will be a good president because he is a nice man.

Yesterday 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class were performing a Christmas conert in the Hyde centre. 2nd class were doing Cinderella. 3d class were doing Hotel Bethlehem. 4th class were doing the G-factor. 5th and 6th class were doing The Christmas story.
The classes were very good. My favourite one was the G-factor. It was very good and very funny. I was amazed when I saw it.
At the end, everyone saw Santa. We all got sweets. There was coffee and buns too. It was a great night.

The hare and the tortoise. By Diarmuid
One day, a hare said to a tortoise "let's race". The Hare said "it will be easy for me to win". The hare asked "will we start now?"
Then they started the race. The hare started messing and went to sleep.
The tortoise was not messing. He kept going. He passed the sleeping hare.
The hare woke up. He could not see the tortoise anywhere. He thought he was still ahead.
He got a shock. The tortoise was in front and he won the race. Then everybody was clapping.
