Frohes Neues Jahr! Herzlich Wilkommen go Gaelscoil de hÍde! Táimid ag foghlaim nuatheanga chomh maith le Gaeilge agus Béarla. Bíonn ceacht Gearmáinise ag ranganna 5 + 6 gach seachtain. Táimid ag foghlaim an teanga sin agus go leor faoi cultúr na tíre freisin. Is aoibhinn linn é.

German Lessons
Welcome to Gaelscoil de hÍde where we are also learning a modern foreign language. Fifth and sixth class are not only learning the German language but also about the German culture. We even have a Culture Box in our school in which we keep authentic German items, brought in by the children and teachers.
This year we have been learning lots. The topics we have covered include: Our Families, Colours, Counting to 40, Greetings, Introducing Ourselves, The Weather, talking about Where We Live and Our Appearance. We are really enjoying it!
